This month I'd like to discuss engine maintenance intervals and the All data used in this article applies to 2017 and newer Paccar MX 11L and 13L engines with single can emission platforms. Paccar uses fuel economy and idle time to determine when specific services are performed. Fuel economy greater than 6 mpg puts the engine in a normal service category and idle time above below 20 percent sets which mileage chart you use. Any vocation that has less than 6 mpg and over 80K lb gross weight is severe service.

Maintenance Activities: Follow the OE manufacturer's recommended maintenance procedures for the starter motor, alternator, batteries electrical components, radiator, air cleaner, refrigerant compressor and fan clutch.
